Dr. Hoffmann Pereira is a Choral/Orchestral/Instrumental Conductor and Music Educator. He is Instructor of Music at Atlantic Christian Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he teaches middle and high school music classes, including Honors Choir and AP Music Theory. Dr. Pereira is also Adjunct Professor of Music at South Florida Bible College & Seminary, in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He is also a music scholar with ongoing personal research in choral and orchestral conducting, music education, and the music entertainment industry.
Dr. Pereira's career includes being music professor, music department chair, and director of choral activities at colleges in Tennessee, California, Arizona, and Florida, plus K-12 band, orchestra, chorus instructor, and church music director in Florida and Brazil.
He was Music Director of the Simpson Symphonic Choir (formerly Trinity Repertoire Singers), Simpson University Chorale, Simpson University Women's Choir, Arizona Christian University Chorale, and Shalom Chamber Choir. He collaborated and directed performances of his choirs with the Shasta Symphony Orchestra (California) and the North State Symphony Orchestra (California). Dr. Pereira also directed performances of the LSU A Cappella Choir, the LSU Chamber Choir, the LSU Women's Choir (Assistant Conductor), Men's Choir, and the LSU Orchestra.
He holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral and Orchestral Conducting from LSU, the Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting, also from LSU, and undergraduate degrees in Music Education and Church Music from Brazil.
