Dr. Hoffmann Pereira is a thoroughly modern and versatile performer, equally proficient as choral and instrumental conductor.
He is the Choral Director at Atlantic Christian Academy in West Palm Beach, where he directs the Middle School Choirs, the High School choir, and the High School Honors Choir. Dr. Pereira is also Adjunct Professor of Music at South Florida Bible College & Seminary, where he directs the college's 'Vocal Ensemble.' He has conducted many choral and instrumental ensembles throughout his career, including the Trinity Repertory Singers, Shasta Symphony Orchestra, Simpson University Chorale, Simpson University Women's Chorus, Shalom Chamber Choir, ACU Chorale, Hiwassee Chorale, the LSU Orchestra, and the LSU A Cappella Choir. Repertoire highlights include Bach's Magnificat, Brahms' Ein deutsches Requiem, Handel's Messiah, Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass and Symphony no.1, Lauridsen's Sure on This Shining Night, Mahler's Symphony no.2, Mozart's Vesperae solennes de Confessore and Mass in C Major (K.257), Rheinberger's Mass in F Minor, Rutter's Gloria, Vivaldi's Gloria, Vaughan Williams' Dona nobis pacem, Whitacre's Five Hebrew Love Songs, and many others.
